Privacy policy

This policy explains what flagdisposal.us (“we”) collects and how we use it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

• Updates sign-up: your email address, the ZIP code you choose to give us, the time you signed up, and a one-way hashed (scrambled) version of your IP address that we use only to block spam and abuse.
• Emails you send us: whatever you choose to include.
• The ZIP finder: the ZIP you type into the finder stays in your browser. It is not sent to us unless you also sign up.
• Server logs: our host, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

How we use it

• To email you about verified drop-off locations, ceremonies and site news you asked for.
• To reply to your messages and improve listings.

We never sell or rent your email address. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, or just write to [email protected] and we’ll remove you. You can also ask us to delete your data.

Advertising and cookies

We may show ads from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info. Learn how Google uses cookies in advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Affiliate disclosure

We do not currently use affiliate (paid) links. If we add one, it will be labeled “Paid link” right next to it, the partner’s site may set its own cookies to credit the referral, and we may earn a commission that does not change your price.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Data storage and security

Sign-ups are stored in a private database hosted by Cloudflare in the United States. We keep sign-ups until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
